Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map. Gone are the four lanes; in their place is a more traditional MOBA-style three-lane layout. This fundamental shift dramatically alters gameplay. Previously, a common strategy involved a "1 vs 2" lane distribution. Now, with two heroes likely per lane, players must adapt their resource management and team compositions.

The map redesign extends beyond lane structure. Neutral camps, buffs, and other strategic points have been repositioned. To help players navigate this new terrain, a dedicated "map exploration" mode has been added, allowing for unhindered exploration of the revised layout.
This update also significantly modifies the Soul Orb system. Players can now collect souls without directly securing the kill, leading to faster resource accumulation. Furthermore, soul effects have been tweaked, reducing air-hover times.
Beyond the map and Soul Orbs, the patch includes refinements to sprint mechanics, character balancing, and enhanced performance. Support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 has been added, promising smoother gameplay. Numerous bug fixes round out this substantial update.
