How to Use Tarot Cards in Phasmophobia

The Tarot Cards are among the riskiest Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia, yet they offer potentially powerful advantages. Strategic use is key. It's best to draw cards in a safe location, like near a hiding spot or the entrance, providing a quick escape route if you draw an unfavorable card, such as Death.

Each card's effect activates immediately upon drawing. However, you might draw The Fool (a wildcard), resulting in no effect. You can draw up to ten cards without impacting your sanity. Duplicates are possible and have the same effect as the original.

Ten unique cards await within the deck:

The Tower	Doubles ghost activity for 20 seconds.	20%
The Wheel of Fortune	Gain 25% sanity (green flame); lose 25% sanity (red flame).	20%

The Sun	Fully restores sanity to 100%.	5%

The Fool	Mimics another card before becoming The Fool; no effect.	17%
The Devil	Triggers a ghost event for the player nearest the ghost.	10%
Death	Triggers a Cursed Hunt (20 seconds longer than a normal hunt). Further card draws are ineffective during the hunt.	10%
The High Priestess	Instantly revives a fallen teammate.	2%
The Hanged Man	Instantly kills the user.	1%

Cursed Possessions, often called "Cursed Objects," are unique items that randomly appear on any contract map (depending on difficulty and Challenge Mode).

Unlike standard equipment, which aids in ghost identification with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts to manipulate the ghost, but at significantly higher risk to your character's well-being. The risk-reward balance varies between objects. There's no penalty for ignoring them.

Only one Cursed Possession spawns per contract (unless customized), always in a specific location. For instance, the Voodoo Doll always appears in the garage at 6 Tanglewood Drive.

Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle.
