After two failed launches and months of anticipation, Rune Slayer has arrived, and it's fantastic! While incredibly fun, the game has a steep learning curve, especially for MMORPG newcomers. Fear not, this guide will help you conquer your Rune Slayer journey.

Here are some crucial tips we wish we'd known starting out:
Don't Randomly Attack Other Players
Screenshot by The EscapistInitially, Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP worried us. Thankfully, it's not a mindless bloodbath. Dying, even to other players, results in no item loss; you simply respawn. However, attacking players incurs a bounty. More kills mean a larger bounty, leading to greater item loss upon your death. Essentially, full-loot PvP is self-imposed. Unless you're strategically ganking with friends, avoid attacking other players.
Craft Bags Immediately
Screenshot by The EscapistLimited inventory and bank space are quickly apparent. Fortunately, crafting bags expands your capacity. The initial Cotton Bag adds 10 slots. Find Cotton north of Wayshire and Flax south (beware of tougher mobs there). Craft these bags as soon as possible.
Your Pets Don't Actually Die
Screenshot by The EscapistContrary to belief, your pets don't perish permanently. A five-minute cooldown prevents summoning after their health reaches zero. Check this cooldown by pressing T. After the cooldown, simply press T again to resummon your pet. Bonus: Quickly heal your pet by storing and retrieving it at the stable master (you have one free slot).
Accept All Quests
Screenshot by The EscapistRune Slayer boasts numerous, mostly unremarkable, non-repeatable quests (the typical "kill X" variety). To simplify, accept every quest you encounter, including those from the job board. Often, quests can be combined, making progress more efficient.
Craft Everything at Least Once

Join a Guild
Rune Slayer is solo-friendly, but tougher enemies, especially those with high health, are designed for group combat. Joining a guild is the easiest way to find a group. Use general chat or the official Rune Slayer Discord to find a guild and tackle challenging foes.
