A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

EA has unveiled Battlefield Labs, a closed internal beta program offering select players a sneak peek at upcoming Battlefield titles. A short gameplay clip from the pre-alpha build has already been shared.

Battlefield Labs participants will test core mechanics and concepts, though not all will make it into the final game. An NDA is required before access is granted. Initial modes include Conquest and Breakthrough, with early testing focused on combat and destruction, followed by balance adjustments.

Pre-registration is open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A few thousand players will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans for broader regional expansion later.

According to the developers, the new Battlefield is in a key stage of development. No official release date has been announced. Development is a collaborative effort between DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
