In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique title can be challenging. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing blend of mystery and Lovecraftian elements. This puzzle adventure game boasts a captivating story, making it a must-watch.
My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision
The game's creation story is as fascinating as the game itself. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued writing and filmmaking. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the core narrative remained. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, ultimately bringing his unique story to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.
Unraveling the Mystery
My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.
Blending ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, My Father Lied offers a unique narrative experience. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, beautiful 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree images.
