Code Geass: Lost Stories Ending Its Global Journey On Mobile Soon!

The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the global servers will shut down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date. The game's global social media presence will also cease on the same day.

Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion anime and manga, the game launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary.

Reasons for Closure:

While no official reason was given, the low download numbers and generally negative global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Licensed anime gacha games frequently struggle to maintain a significant player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits. The game's blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while appealing to some, apparently wasn't enough to secure its global success.

Japanese players can still access the game via the Google Play Store. For those looking for more gaming news, check out our other articles, including the exciting news on Sky: Children of the Light's Tournament of Triumph!
