Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled the alpha testing phase for his upcoming title, Battledom. This RTS-lite game serves as a spiritual successor to his 2020 hit, Herodom, and represents roughly two years of part-time development. Frenken describes Battledom as a closer realization of his initial vision for Herodom.

Battledom offers dynamic RTS combat, enabling players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Strategic deployment is key, as players will manually target enemies and operate siege weaponry. Utilizing various formations adds a layer of tactical depth.

Players amass coins to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weaponry and no armor. Customization is a core element; players equip units with crafted weapons and armor, influencing stats like range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering is essential. Players collect wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft these upgrades at the blacksmith, magician, and other specialized crafters.

Frenken's previous success, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating, showcasing over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new character customizations and farm enhancements.

iOS users can participate in the Battledom alpha via TestFlight. For updates and further information, follow Sander Frenken on X (formerly Twitter) or Reddit. His other App Store titles are also worth exploring.
