How to Play Okey Game

The offline Okey game is traditionally played with four players. Each player uses a cue stick to sort their tiles, which come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13. The game includes 106 tiles in total, with two fake Okey tiles added to the mix.

At the start of the game, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed among the players. The player next to the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then arrange their tiles into groups or pairs according to their cues.

Tiles not distributed remain in the center of the table, with one open tile acting as the indicator tile. The tile matching the indicator tile's color and number becomes the Okey tile, which can substitute for any tile in the game. If a player finishes the game using an Okey tile, their points are doubled.

Normal Tile Arrangement in Okey Game:

Players aim to arrange their tiles into at least three pairs. There are two types of arrangements: sequential tiles of the same color or tiles of the same number across different colors.

Pair Formation in Okey Game:

To win, a player must form seven pairs and then discard their last tile to the center of the table.

Indicator Rule in Okey Game:

At the start of a new game, the next player reveals the indicator tile. If it's an Okey-colored tile, 2 points are deducted from the other players; if not, the game proceeds normally.

End of Okey Game:

The game concludes based on the final tile played. If it's not an Okey tile, it's a normal finish with deductions of 4 points if Okey-colored, or 2 points otherwise. Finishing with seven pairs deducts 4 points from opponents. Completing a color sequence from 1 to 13 results in other players' points dropping to zero, ending the game. An irregular sequence of the same color deducts 8 points from other players.
