Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on tracking the financial performance of their favorite titles, and the latest figures for January 2025 have sparked quite a buzz. Last month, Genshin Impact rolled out a major update featuring the archon of pyro and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, which significantly boosted its earnings. The miHoYo (HoYoverse) sensation saw its revenues soar to an impressive $99.4 million, effectively doubling its December 2024 earnings of $45.6 million.

In the revenue race, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with a commendable $64 million, while the beloved "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, clinched third place with $55.2 million. Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, reaching $50.8 million, and Zenless Zone Zero saw its revenue cut in half from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that these rankings only reflect earnings from mobile platforms, although some games like those from miHoYo are also available on PC. A key point in the data calculation is the method used for China: "Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published for Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country."
