Microsoft Revamps Xbox Game Pass Quests, Rewards System

Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards Program Launching January 7th

Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests to PC Game Pass users and enhancing the overall points earning system. However, access to these new features is restricted to players aged 18 and older, emphasizing Microsoft's commitment to age-appropriate gaming experiences.

This expansion means PC Game Pass subscribers (18+) will now join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in earning rewards through various quests. These quests offer daily, weekly, and monthly point-earning opportunities, including the return of popular weekly streaks.

Key Changes to Game Pass Quests and Rewards:

• PC Game Pass Quest Availability: Quests are now available to PC Game Pass members, starting January 7th.
• New Quest Types:
  • Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
  • Weekly Streaks: Play for at least five days a week to earn points. Maintaining a streak increases the point multiplier (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
  • Monthly 4-Pack/8-Pack: Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four (or eight) different games for at least 15 minutes each month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
  • PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points by playing for at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.
• Age Restriction: The Rewards Hub and associated features are now exclusively for players 18 and older. Players under 18 can only earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft Store.

The revamped system simplifies point accumulation with consistent daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities. The return of weekly streaks with increasing multipliers incentivizes regular gameplay. Players can earn points simply by playing or by actively exploring the diverse Game Pass library.

Microsoft's focus on age-appropriate content is a core element of this update, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all users. This enhancement provides new and exciting ways for eligible players to maximize their Game Pass subscription.
