Pokémon Gold & Silver 25th Anniversary Merchandise: November 23rd, 2024 Launch

Available Exclusively at Japanese Pokémon Centers

The Pokémon Company has announced a range of merchandise celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. This exciting collection includes a variety of items, from home goods to fashionable apparel, launching on November 23rd, 2024, at Pokémon Centers across Japan. Currently, there are no plans for wider distribution.

Pre-orders begin November 21st, 2024, at 10:00 AM JST via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan.

Prices range from ¥495 (approx. $4 USD) to ¥22,000 (approx. $143 USD). Highlights include striking Sukajan jackets (¥22,000) featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia designs, stylish Day Bags (¥12,100), charming 2-Piece Set Plates (¥1,650), and an assortment of stationery and hand towels.

Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver revolutionized the Pokémon franchise with innovative features. The games, critically acclaimed for their groundbreaking mechanics, introduced a real-time clock affecting gameplay and over 100 new Pokémon (Gen 2) including Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia, among many others. Their legacy continued with the 2009 Nintendo DS remakes, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
