David Koepp, the screenwriter behind the iconic 1993 film Jurassic Park and the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, has revealed to Variety that he drew inspiration from Michael Crichton’s original novels for the new sequel. With no specific novel to serve as a direct source for Jurassic World Rebirth, Koepp revisited the books to reignite his creative spark. In doing so, he decided to incorporate a previously unused sequence from the first Jurassic Park novel, which didn't make it into the original film due to space constraints.
"There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp explained. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’" Although he kept the details of this sequence under wraps, the revelation has sparked widespread speculation among fans eager to guess which scene will finally make its cinematic debut in Jurassic World Rebirth.
