CS2 incoming: Halo Infinite Set to Launch S&D Extraction Mode with Deep Economic Mechanics

Halo Infinite, while perhaps not always in the spotlight, continues to receive exciting content updates. A recent addition is S&D Extraction, a new competitive game mode designed to deliver a strategic and refreshing experience.

Inspired by Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction puts a unique spin on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off: attackers aim to plant a device at a designated location, while defenders try to stop them. Teams switch roles after each round, and the first to win six rounds claims victory.

The mode introduces a compelling economic system. Players earn in-game currency by completing objectives, which they then use to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Prices fluctuate based on player performance, ensuring a dynamic and ever-changing gameplay loop. All purchased gear is lost at the end of each round.

Item pricing reflects their in-round effectiveness and power. Expect cheaper options in early rounds, escalating costs mid-match, and potentially even more expensive gear available later if players strategically save their earnings. Players will also have the option to purchase respawns after being eliminated.

Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite fans, offering a compelling blend of familiar and innovative gameplay mechanics.
