Tarneeb 41

Tarneeb is a card game for two teams, each comprising two players seated opposite each other. Using a standard 52-card deck, play proceeds counter-clockwise. The goal for each player is to accurately predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws down a type of paper; other players must then throw down the same type. The player who successfully matches the "Tarneeb" paper wins the round ("Bamh"). If a player lacks the matching paper, they forfeit the "Tarneeb" option. "Tarneeb" papers are superior to all other types; the player who throws the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins, unless another player throws a stronger one.

The round ends when all players have played. Points are tallied as follows:

• Successful Bid: If a team achieves their predicted number of "Allmat" or more, they gain those points; the opposing team gets nothing.

• Unsuccessful Bid: If a team fails to reach their predicted "Allmat" count, the points they bid are deducted, and the number of "Allmat" won by the opposing team is added to their score.

• Winning 13 Tricks: If either team wins 13 tricks without bidding for 13, they receive 16 points. If they bid for and win 13 tricks, they receive 26 points.

• Failed 13-Trick Bid: If a team bids for 13 tricks and fails, 16 points are deducted from their score.

The game concludes when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more; that team is declared the winner.
