Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup of 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. The January additions bring a diverse range of gaming experiences, while several existing games will be leaving the service.
New Games Joining Xbox Game Pass (January 2025):
Microsoft officially announced seven new games joining the service in January 2025 via their Xbox blog on January 7th. The lineup includes:
- Road 96: Available now (January 7th) for all Game Pass tiers (including PC Game Pass). This choice-driven title makes a welcome return after a previous stint on the service.
- Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Arriving January 8th, available with a Standard subscription.
- My Time at Sandrock: Launching January 8th, available with a Standard subscription.
- Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th, playable with a Standard subscription.
- Rolling Hills: Joining January 8th, accessible with a Standard subscription.
- UFC 5: Available January 14th, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
- Diablo: Launching January 14th, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though their availability is limited to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscriptions. The remaining titles are accessible with a standard Game Pass subscription.
New Perks and Departures:
Alongside the new games, several new Game Pass Ultimate perks are available as of January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
However, the arrival of new games also means some are leaving. Six titles are departing Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
- Common'hood
- Escape Academy
- Exoprimal
- Figment
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Those Who Remain
This announcement covers only the first half of January. Microsoft is expected to reveal the second half of the month's lineup shortly.
