Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and responding to fan requests. This new feature will first be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing players to dive in early and provide crucial feedback. The developers are particularly keen on hearing from the modding community, as they will also release updates to the game’s API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their creations for the multiplayer environment, ensuring a seamless transition for existing mods.

In addition to the multiplayer mode, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which will enrich the single-player experience. This expansion introduces new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, allowing players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer update will initially be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, where players can test and refine the new mode. Once the testing phase is complete, multiplayer will become a permanent feature of Teardown. Alongside this, the team will ensure that modders have the tools they need to keep their mods compatible with the multiplayer setting.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are on the horizon, with more information slated for release later in 2025. This promises even more content and excitement for Teardown players in the near future.
