Get ready for some holiday cheer in Stellar Blade! Shift Up is launching a festive event on December 17th, transforming Xion into a winter wonderland. This update includes new outfits, decorations, a mini-game, and a new option to control seasonal content.

New Holiday Outfits and Customization

Deck the halls (and Eve!) with new Christmas-themed costumes! The update features festive attire for Eve, Adam, and even the Drone. Eve gets a Santa dress, a Santa Girl hairstyle, and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses and Wreath Earrings. Adam sports his own unique holiday look ("I'm No Santa"), and the Drone receives a Rudolph Pack.

A Festive Xion and a New Mini-Game

Xion itself gets a holiday makeover, adorned with warm lights and festive decorations. Eve's camp and The Last Gulp also receive the festive treatment, complete with new seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away"). Adding to the festive fun is a new mini-game. While details are scarce, it involves shooting targets on a holiday drone for special rewards.

Control Your Seasonal Experience

A welcome addition is the ability to toggle seasonal events on or off, including the Nier:Automata DLC. This option, found in the Gameplay settings, offers three choices:

• Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the current season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note that changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception: A Short Game's Seasonal Challenge

The update has been largely well-received, with many fans embracing the "Christmas Eve" moniker for the protagonist. However, some players have questioned the frequency of event updates in a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours).
