Stardew Valley's Nintendo Switch Update: Addressing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Issues
ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, has confirmed that a much-anticipated Nintendo Switch patch is on its way. This patch will resolve two significant issues: a game-crashing bug related to divorce and problems affecting the raccoon shop. While these issues have already been fixed for PC, mobile, and other console versions, the Switch version's update is still under development.
The developer assures players that the patch is "coming as soon as possible," though a precise release date remains unannounced. The problems arose following the release of the substantial 1.6 update, which introduced a wealth of new content, including new NPC dialogue, the Meadowlands Farm, and enhanced visuals. This update, initially released on PC in March, rolled out to consoles and mobile in November, subsequently revealing these unforeseen bugs. A swift emergency patch addressed mobile issues in mid-November, highlighting ConcernedApe's commitment to timely fixes.
The delay for the Switch patch specifically has been acknowledged by ConcernedApe, with updates provided to the community since December. This transparent communication and proactive approach to addressing player concerns have been widely praised by the Stardew Valley community. Players can expect the resolution of the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues in the near future.
