Marvel's animated Spider-Man series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, scores early renewals for seasons two and three! This exciting news comes courtesy of Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation. Speaking to The Movie Podcast, Winderbaum revealed that scripts for Season 2 are complete, with storyboards already halfway done – all before Season 1 even premieres on January 29th! Season 3 is also officially greenlit.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the show, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He anticipates the emotional connection with the characters deepening across the seasons.

The series chronicles Peter Parker's freshman year as he develops his superpowers. Whether subsequent seasons will follow a chronological high school progression remains to be seen. Marvel's plans for this freshman Spidey beyond his first year are currently unannounced.
