Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled back-to-back character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer hinted at the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners. Today's gameplay trailer showcases the Cimmerian warrior.

Conan's gameplay emphasizes brute strength. Expect powerful, high-damage attacks, though agility may be a drawback. His sword's reach might compensate for this, but matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be intriguing tests of his capabilities.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some others in MK1. A simple acid-drowning finish might disappoint some, but ultimately, enjoyable gameplay is paramount.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while everyone else must wait until January 28th.
