The Sims turns 25 with updates in FreePlay, livestreams and more

The Sims franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary this year! To commemorate this milestone, EA is rolling out updates and celebrations across numerous titles, including mobile versions.

The Sims, initially conceived as a SimCity spin-off, revolutionized gaming by offering unparalleled control over simulated human lives. Players guide their Sims through life's milestones – childhood, education, marriage, careers, parenthood, and ultimately, death. Mobile Festivities:

The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile are receiving substantial anniversary updates. The Sims FreePlay's "FreePlay 2000" update immerses players in Y2K nostalgia, complete with new live events and a 25-day gifting extravaganza. The Sims Mobile is offering two complimentary gifts to players throughout its birthday week, commencing March 4th.
