Simpsons: Tapped Out Game Closing Soon

EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is nearing its end. Launched in 2012 on iOS and 2013 on Android, this city-building game will be sunsetting in 2025.

The Shutdown Timeline:

In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. Servers will finally shut down on January 24th, 2025. EA expressed gratitude to players for their decade-long support of this Simpsons-themed title.

A Final Chance to Play?

For those unfamiliar with the game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out lets players rebuild Springfield after Homer's disastrous mishap. Players manage the town, interact with beloved characters (including Fat Tony and even costumed versions like Daredevil Bart), and expand to Springfield Heights, even running Apu's Kwik-E-Mart.

This freemium title frequently incorporated updates linked to the show's storylines and holidays. While the download is free, in-game donuts power the gameplay.

If you're interested in a final playthrough before the servers go dark, download it from the Google Play Store before October 31st, 2024. Also, check out our article on the upcoming mobile baseball game, eBaseball: MLB Pro Spirit!
