Even though February might be bringing the chill, the warmth of spring isn't far off. But if you're looking for something to brighten up the cold days and entice you outside, Pokémon Go's new event, Scattered to the Wind, is here to help.
What does this event bring to the table? You can earn double XP for spinning a PokéStop and a whopping five times XP for your first spin of the day. You'll also be able to open up to 40 Gifts per day, or if you have the Eggs-pedition Access: February ticket, you can open up to 60. Plus, there's an increased chance of encountering the Shiny version of Pidgey.
But wait, there's more! By pinning postcards received from players around the world, you'll enhance your chances of encountering the new Shiny versions of Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon. This is in addition to new Field Research Task rewards, Paid Timed Research, and more!
Pokémon Go has always been about encouraging players to step out and explore, which aligns perfectly with the concept of augmented reality. While new Pokémon are always a welcome addition, it's intriguing to see the focus on international postcard collecting, connecting players from across the globe.
Mark your calendars because this exciting event will only last from February 18th to February 20th. Make sure to participate quickly and seize the opportunity while it's fresh.
