Pokémon Go's Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India: Nominate Landmarks as PokéStops and Gyms

Niantic has exciting news for Pokémon Go trainers in Chile and India with the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge, offering a unique opportunity to influence your local game environment while earning exclusive rewards. From March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, you can participate in this engaging event by reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations through the Niantic Wayfarer platform. This effort not only helps introduce new PokéStops and Gyms into Pokémon Go but also propels you towards achieving special milestone rewards.

During the Wayfarer Challenge, you're encouraged to nominate real-world locations such as landmarks, sculptures, and street art to become part of the Pokémon Go map. Every review you conduct contributes to community goals; reaching 5,000 resolved nominations will unlock rewards for all participants, including 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community surpass 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

Participation in the Wayfarer Challenge requires you to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have an active Niantic Wayfarer account. New users must complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, to be eligible for the rewards, you must have recently played in Chile or India, or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. You'll also need to review at least 50 nominations, with the community reaching at least one of the set milestones.

Running concurrently with the Wayfarer Challenge, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. This event promises exciting bonuses such as 3x XP for first-time visits to new PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and an increased chance of encountering Kecleon. Event-specific Field Research will reward you with encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research provides opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
