Marvel Rivals Adds Two Heroes Every Quarter

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures players always have something new to explore.

Game director Guangyun Chen revealed a two-part seasonal update structure: one new hero in the first half, and another in the second. This approach aims to maintain player engagement. Beyond new heroes, updates will include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Previously announced characters include Blade (currently unavailable) and leaked information points to Altron. The full Fantastic Four team's addition has also been confirmed.

GameLook, a Chinese publication, reported worldwide revenue of approximately $100 million, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a significant move for Marvel, extending its dominance from film into the gaming arena.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality game featuring compelling characters, receiving positive reviews at launch.
