Balatro exceeds five million sales across all devices

Balatro, the critically acclaimed blend of deck-building, solitaire, and roguelike mechanics from LocalThunk, has achieved a remarkable milestone: five million sales across all platforms. This impressive figure includes significant mobile sales, earning the game numerous awards.

While this number might seem modest compared to some major mobile releases, it's crucial to remember that Balatro is a solo-developed title, and all five million sales represent premium revenue for developer LocalThunk and publisher Playstack. This makes it a particularly noteworthy achievement. Precise mobile sales figures aren't currently available, but the count has surged by 1.5 million since December, when it reached 3.5 million.

While not definitively a mobile indie breakthrough given the many other successful mobile games, Balatro's success is undeniably significant, particularly considering its development journey and continued success with cross-platform updates. Its long-term performance remains to be seen.
