Marvel Heroes' Thing and Torch Coming Soon

The Fantastic Four's roster in Marvel Rivals will be complete on February 21, 2025, with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. This coincides with a Season 1.5 update, promising significant balance adjustments, as detailed in a recent developer blog post.

Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debuted last month, introducing unique gameplay mechanics that reshaped the competitive landscape. Reed Richards' elastic powers allow for unusual combat, while Sue Storm's invisibility adds a strategic layer. The Thing and Human Torch are expected to similarly impact the meta, though specific abilities remain undisclosed.

The Season 1.5 update also includes a rank reset for Ranked players. Ranks will be lowered by four divisions (e.g., Diamond I becomes Platinum II). Future season updates will feature a six-division drop, while mid-season updates will maintain the four-division drop. NetEase plans to adjust this system based on player feedback.

Positive changes include new cosmetic rewards for Gold-ranked players and the introduction of new Crests of Honor for top performers (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All).
