Konami Launches Suikoden STAR LEAP for Mobile

Suikoden STAR LEAP introduces a fresh lineup of characters, yet maintains the tradition of assembling 108 heroes. The game embraces pixel art to preserve the classic Suikoden aesthetic, which you can see in the teaser trailer below.

The narrative centers around the Rune of Change, one of the 27 True Runes believed to have sculpted the world's destiny. The protagonist, Hou, son of the village chief, celebrates his first successful hunt, but the celebration is short-lived as disaster strikes and the village is attacked. Driven by the need to restore peace, Hou embarks on a journey accompanied by Hisui, his servant with a mysterious emotional suppression; Shirin, his childhood friend driven by a strong sense of justice; and Shapur, a former general now serving as a butler.

While the announcement has stirred excitement, some fans express mixed feelings. The community has been eagerly anticipating a proper continuation of the series, but instead, they're receiving STAR LEAP, a mobile gacha game.
