"Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sells 2 Million Copies in Under 2 Weeks"

The success of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* continues to soar, having now sold an impressive 2 million copies in less than two weeks. This news comes directly from a tweet by the game's developer, Warhorse Studios, who celebrated this achievement as a "triumph." This follows their earlier celebration when the game reached 1 million sales just a day after its release.

This remarkable achievement underscores the strong reception of Warhorse Studios' sequel to their medieval Europe action role-playing game, which was launched on February 4 and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.

Last week, Embracer, the parent company of Warhorse Studios, highlighted that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* performed exceptionally well on Steam, achieving a peak concurrent player count of over 250,000. To put this into perspective, the original *Kingdom Come: Deliverance* had a peak of 96,069 concurrent players on Steam seven years ago.

It's important to note that the true peak concurrent player count for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is likely even higher, considering its release on consoles as well. Unfortunately, neither Sony nor Microsoft disclose player numbers publicly.

Embracer, through its subsidiary Plaion, described *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* as "initially successful" in terms of both player and critic reception, as well as performance. Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors praised the dedication of Warhorse Studios and their publisher, Deep Silver, saying, “This reflects the dedication and hard work of our development studio, Warhorse Studios, and our publisher, Deep Silver.”

Wingefors expressed confidence that the game would continue to generate substantial revenue in the coming years, attributing this to the game's exceptional quality, immersion, and appeal. He also mentioned Warhorse Studios' plans for a robust roadmap, which includes updates and new content over the next 12 months, ensuring an engaging and evolving experience for the community.

“We are immensely proud of the teams involved in the successful release of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, which has significantly outperformed our expectations so far,” Wingefors added.

Looking ahead, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's* post-launch roadmap includes three expansions set for release in 2025. The spring will bring free updates, including a Barbers feature with additional customization options, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. Summer will see the first paid content drop, *Brushes with Death*, where protagonist Henry aids an enigmatic artist with a shadowy past. Autumn will introduce the *Legacy of the Forge* expansion, delving into Henry's past and his adoptive father Martin's history. Finally, winter will bring *Mysteria Ecclesia*, in which Henry undertakes a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
