The game's February 4, 2025 release date remains unchanged, despite recent controversies. Following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, activists launched a campaign to cancel Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Figures like Grummz have fueled this campaign, raising concerns about the game's content.

These concerns intensified after reports of a Saudi Arabian ban and rumors regarding the inclusion of "progressive" elements. Social media backlash ensued, with calls to boycott the game and its developers.
