Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
With the PC release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just two weeks away, Square Enix has released updated system requirements, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. The game leverages DLSS, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Square Enix strongly recommends a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay. This recommendation comes alongside the recent PS5 Pro patch enhancing the game's visuals on Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as Square Enix focuses on developing Part 3.
The updated PC specifications clarify the graphics card requirements: 12-16GB VRAM is recommended for 4K, while Shader Model 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate support are mandatory. Other minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPUs include the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent, and GPUs start at the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600. Higher-end CPUs and GPUs are recommended for higher settings and resolutions.
