Disney Mirrorverse Announces EOS By The End Of This Year

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Kabam, the developer, announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game is already unavailable on the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of gameplay remaining before the servers are permanently closed.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse:

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined Disney and Pixar characters. Despite initial excitement, the game struggled to maintain player engagement due to a lengthy beta period and infrequent content updates.

The game's demanding shard collection system, requiring significant time or in-game purchases to fully develop characters, contributed to its decline. However, the game's artistic merit, particularly its character designs and graphics, was widely praised.

The Unexpected EOS Announcement:

The EOS announcement is particularly surprising, given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This isn't the first time Kabam has abruptly ended a game's service; Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off suffered similar fates.
