First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode debut season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning experience.

While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, the series appears to center around Dante, likely from the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, though connections to the game's canon are yet to be officially confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.

The last main entry in the Devil May Cry video game series was Devil May Cry 5, released in 2019. This title marked a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
