Initially slated for a 2025 release, the zombie action game from Undead Labs is now reportedly set to launch in early 2026. This shift in timeline may disappoint fans who were hoping for a sooner release, but it's a more optimistic outlook compared to earlier rumors suggesting a 2027 launch.

Corden noted that the development of State of Decay 3 has made significant progress, though he refrained from delving into specifics. This news comes after the game's latest trailer, released in June of this year, which thrilled viewers with scenes of intense gunfights against zombies and post-apocalyptic vehicles reminiscent of the Mad Max franchise.

Set many years after the onset of the apocalypse, State of Decay 3 will follow survivors as they strive to establish secure settlements amidst the undead threat. The game is being developed for PC and Xbox Series, following the release of its predecessor back in 2018.
