Note that inheritance won't count towards this task, so you must secure the money before your parents pass away. Navigate to the Relationship tab, select a parent, and choose "Ask for Money." You might receive anywhere from a few dollars to several hundred, but there's also a chance they'll decline. Continue asking yearly until you reach the $777 threshold.
