How to Complete Canker in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest is an engaging early mission you can access after completing "The Jaunt." Not only does it offer a chance to snag a mace, but it also provides additional Groschen, making it a rewarding endeavor. Here's how to navigate and complete the "Canker" quest.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you'll need to converse with Gules in Semine. It's convenient to pick up this quest during Lord Semine and Agnes' wedding, where you can find Gules drinking before the ceremony starts. Alternatively, you can speak to Gules on patrol at Semine before the wedding. Engage him about his past as a bandit leader and volunteer to help him eliminate his former comrades. Canker, a former bandit, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be wary as the route to his camp is often patrolled by bandits looking to ambush you. You can choose to evade them stealthily, engage in combat, or simply flee. While these bandits are not particularly challenging, it's best to conserve your health for the upcoming battle.

Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains and can be easy to miss. You'll need to navigate through a narrow gap, similar to the path leading to the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for combat before entering, as you'll face Canker and several of his bandit allies. Some bandits may flee depending on the order in which you attack, but ensure you take down most of them. Fortunately, Canker will not run, allowing you to complete your mission by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his crew, loot his body to collect the Light Mace, which is essential to prove your success. Feel free to take any other valuables from him as well. Once you've secured the mace, head back to Gules in Semine to officially complete the "Canker" quest.

After successfully completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can continue the storyline with Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules again to initiate the next quest, "Handsome Charlie."
