Clean Crime Scenes as a Mustachioed Master in 'Serial Cleaner'

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. Will it be a refined re-release or simply an updated port? Only time will tell.

The game plunges players into the gritty, yet comical, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, you'll be tasked with the messy job of cleaning up after mob hits – disposing of bodies, wiping away blood, and erasing any trace of the crime, all while dodging the police.

Our previous 2019 review described the original Serial Cleaner as having potential but being somewhat unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance for improvements.

A Retro Revival?

Available for pre-registration now, with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the extent of the changes remains unclear. While a polished re-release would be welcome, given the time elapsed since the original launch, significant improvements might be wishful thinking.

The core concept remains highly appealing, but a simple mobile port diminishes the excitement somewhat. However, for Android users who missed out, or iOS players experiencing compatibility issues, this could be a pleasant surprise.
