The developers at Firaxis Games have shared their plans for Civ 7, detailing four new content releases scheduled for March. Just days before the game's release, they outlined the upcoming features divided into three categories: Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. Here's what to expect in March:

In addition to the March updates, Firaxis teased the inclusion of 2 new Leaders, 4 new Civilizations, and 4 World Wonders, along with new events and challenges. While the release window for these additions remains undisclosed, players can look forward to more content in October 2025 and beyond.

The developers also shared a list of future updates that didn't make it into the initial launch but are in the pipeline. Although specific release dates are not yet available, Firaxis assured players that these features are being worked on and will be released as soon as possible. These planned updates include:

• Adding Teams to multiplayer
• Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8
• Allowing players to pick "starting and ending Age"
• Creating "a wider variety of map types"
• Adding hotseat in multiplayer
