The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers numerous rewards, but acquiring them presents challenges. One particularly tricky task involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide explains how.

The Ambassador toilet, a key item in this guide.

Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in locating a broken item. The easiest solution is to intentionally break something.

While you can use the "prank" interaction, this requires a specific Sim trait. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option; using it about a dozen times will cause it to malfunction. This can be done by your Sim or by having guests use it.

Repairing the broken object is straightforward. Once your Sim's Handiness reaches level 2, select the "Repair" option on the broken item. After a short time, the repair is complete, fulfilling the Blast from the Past challenge.
