Android's Castle Doombad Unlocks Dark Minions for Free Play

Castle Doombad is back and better than ever! Now available on Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, this tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014 by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, is ready to unleash your inner villain.

Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single Castle Doombad remake. However, they cleverly divided the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile, and Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version with updated content, launching later this year on Nintendo Switch and Steam. A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, you'll construct a wicked lair, thwart righteous heroes, and utilize traps and minions as your ultimate weapons. It's a delightful twist on the typical tower defense formula.

The free-to-play game features ads and optional in-app purchases. Enjoy the complete original game with 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, over 30 traps to upgrade, and 100+ unlockable items.

A customizable cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you adorn your Dark Lord and command center with evil artifacts. Combine these with "Baddie Bonus" perks for a personalized villainous experience.
