6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted

Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant player backlash. Without explanation, at least six titles vanished from digital storefronts like Steam and the Nintendo eShop on December 23rd, 2024. This action prevents new purchases of these popular and critically acclaimed games.

The delistings are attributed to Warner Bros. Discovery's cost-cutting measures, a strategy previously employed with films and television shows. A similar incident occurred in March 2024, targeting Adult Swim games, although public pressure resulted in some titles being reinstated. This time, however, the response has been swift and negative.

The affected titles include:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest (oldest, released 2014)
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes (2018)
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (2020)
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light (2018)
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light (2021)

While some Cartoon Network games remain available, the lack of communication from Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games regarding the reasons for the delistings has fueled fan frustration. The removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, particularly, is upsetting fans as it contained canonical content crucial to the show's narrative. The absence of a clear explanation adds to the controversy surrounding these unexpected removals.
