Application Description

Ever wondered if your WiFi network is secure enough? With the WPSApp, you can easily check for potential vulnerabilities using the WPS protocol. This protocol simplifies connecting to WiFi networks through an 8-digit pin, which, unfortunately, is often predictable or calculable across various router brands. WPSApp leverages known algorithms and default pins to test these connections and assess your network's security.

The app does more than just check for WPS vulnerabilities. It can calculate default keys for certain routers, display WiFi passwords stored on your device, scan devices connected to your network, and analyze WiFi channel quality. Using it is straightforward: when you scan nearby networks, you'll see different indicators:

  • Networks with a red cross are considered "secure" because they have disabled the WPS protocol and their default password is unknown.
  • Networks with a question mark have WPS enabled, but the pin is unknown. Here, WPSApp allows you to test common pins.
  • Networks with a green tick are likely vulnerable. They have WPS enabled with a known pin or, alternatively, WPS is disabled but the password is known, allowing connection with the key.

To access passwords and certain advanced features, you need to be a Root user, especially on Android 9/10. Keep in mind, though, that not all networks are vulnerable, and even if a network appears as such, it's not a guaranteed breach. Many router companies have updated their firmware to address these vulnerabilities.

If you find your network is vulnerable, take action! Disable WPS and set a strong, personalized password to enhance your security. Remember, unauthorized network intrusion is illegal, and I am not responsible for any misuse of this tool.

From Android 6 (Marshmallow) onwards, location permissions are required due to changes implemented by Google. For more details, visit Google's documentation. Also, note that some Samsung models encrypt passwords, displaying them as a series of hexadecimal digits. You'll need to look online or contact the developer for decryption methods. Additionally, LG models with Android 7 (Nougat) may experience issues with pin connection due to LG's software.
