Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and a Strong Finish

Xbox Game Pass is bolstering its January 2025 offerings with a wave of exciting new titles. While the first half of the month saw some existing games shift tiers, the second half delivers a significant boost, headlined by the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st.

Initially exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders offers a thrilling skiing experience with cooperative and PvP modes. This marks another strong day-one addition to the Ultimate tier, a trend established since recent subscription changes.

Beyond the slopes, January 2025's Game Pass lineup expands with several other day-one releases. Eternal Strands, a Zelda-inspired action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, arrives on January 28th. This is followed by Sniper Elite: Resistance on January 30th and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector on January 31st. All three are also initially available only to Ultimate subscribers.

While February 2025 currently appears less packed, with only Avowed confirmed for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release on February 18th, January's strong lineup provides plenty for Ultimate subscribers to enjoy in the meantime. Eternal Strands in particular is generating considerable buzz.
