Warframe's Techrot Encore Update: Offline Play Arrives

Author: Oliver Mar 13,2025

Warframe: 1999's Y2K-infused action gets a major boost this March with the Techrot Encore update. Digital Extremes' devstreams revealed a packed update including the 60th Warframe, Temple; four brand-new Protoframes; and a host of other additions. But that's not all – get ready to face some familiar foes in a new way.

Techrot Encore introduces the Technocyte Coda, a new Lich adversary system featuring the boy band On-Lyne. Fans of the pre-release ARG will remember On-Lyne, but these once-harmless pop stars have undergone a dramatic transformation, trading singing for slaying.

Fortunately, you'll be well-equipped to handle the challenge. Four new Scaldra weapons offer expanded combat options, whether you prefer blasting or slashing. Lovebirds will appreciate the Romance & Relationships system updates, while everyone can look forward to a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin.

The unique Y2K aesthetic of Warframe: 1999 is a major draw, and the "boy band turned cybernetic monstrosities" enemy concept is undeniably captivating.

Before the March update arrives, there's plenty to keep you busy. Starting February 6th, the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast returns, alongside new skins and Nightwave Vol. 8, offering even more rewards.
