World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery concludes with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This major update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds can then tackle the iconic Naxxramas raid starting February 6th, featuring a new "Empower" difficulty mode for seasoned players.
The Karazhan Crypts, a 5-player dungeon beneath the renowned Karazhan tower, offers a new challenge in Deadwind Pass. Simultaneously, the Scourge Invasions unleash undead hordes across Azeroth, prompting players to engage in new quests at Light's Hope Chapel, earning Necrotic Runes to purchase powerful consumables. These invasions follow the mysterious Shadowy Figure sightings in Phase 6, leaving players to speculate on its role in the final phase.
Following server maintenance on January 28th, players will also find new runes available from Rune Brokers in major cities and starting zones. The highly anticipated Naxxramas raid opens February 6th, offering a significant test of skill, particularly with the added "Empower" difficulty. Conquering Naxxramas' four wings unlocks access to the Frostwyrm Lair and its final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
While Season of Discovery ends, World of Warcraft Classic promises a busy 2025 across all game versions. The future of Seasonal realms remains to be seen.
