Netflix dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation shortly after announcing its premiere date, setting the stage with Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'." The trailer showcased dynamic scenes featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision, explaining the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting and its accompanying soundtrack, a deliberate choice reflecting the era's spirit. Beyond Limp Bizkit, expect other period-defining tracks, plus a synthwave reimagining of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.

Shankar hinted at a multi-season arc, promising diverse visual styles and soundtracks for future seasons to mirror the franchise's varied games.

Plot specifics remain under wraps, but the first season is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), following a young Dante investigating a child's disappearance. This compels him to confront his past, family, and the legacy of his demonic father, Sparda.

The eight-episode first season premieres April 3, 2025.
