Path of Exile 2 loot filters significantly enhance gameplay, especially in later stages with increased item drops. They declutter the screen while highlighting valuable items, streamlining the looting process. While using a controller or playing on console might seem to complicate things, loot filters are readily available for PlayStation and Xbox users. This guide explains how to set them up.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To utilize loot filters on consoles, you must first link your console account to your Path of Exile account through the Path of Exile 1 website. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the official Path of Exile website.
  2. Access your account settings by clicking your account name in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select "Manage Account" from the options presented.
  4. Under "Secondary Login," click "Connect" for either PlayStation or Xbox.

You'll then be redirected to log in with your existing console account. Complete the connection process to link your accounts.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

After linking your accounts, return to your profile page on the Path of Exile website. Locate and click the "Item Filters" button. Click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink to access a list of available filters.

Select "PoE 2" from the dropdown menu above the filter list. Choose a filter and click the "Follow" button. For new players, NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters are recommended for a balanced experience.

With the filter followed, open Path of Exile 2 and navigate to the Options menu. Under the "Game" tab, you'll find the "Item Filter" option. Select the filter you followed from the dropdown menu and click "Save." Your in-game item drops will now be visually and/or audibly categorized according to your chosen filter.
