This week, Shaun couldn't resist including more than one free-to-play matching puzzle game update, but don't worry, we've got some fantastic updates to share as well. Peglin, Free

Kicking off our list with a bang, Peglin earns the coveted UMMSotW award this week. The 1.0 update introduces the ability to challenge up to level 20 in Cruciball, a new Slime Hive mini-boss, and a plethora of tweaks, bug fixes, balance adjustments, and other enhancements. While Peglin didn't necessarily need an update, we're thrilled to see it get even better.

Brawl Stars, Free

It's Brawl Stars time, and we're excited to announce the arrival of SpongeBob in a new event! Alongside this, two new Brawlers, Moe (Mythic) and Kenji (Legendary), are joining the fray, along with new Hypercharges for various characters. These updates will roll out over the next few months, but the SpongeBob event should be starting soon, if it hasn't already.

The latest update to the soothing and satisfying stitch brings more Hoops to play, this time with a martial arts theme. As with any great puzzle game, the theme is secondary to the enjoyment of new puzzles. So, update your app and dive into some Hoops for a relaxing experience.

Genshin Impact, Free

Genshin Impact now features the new region, Natlan, along with three new characters: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. New weapons, events, stories, and artifacts are also part of this update. While it's a bit larger than usual, it follows the familiar pattern of Genshin Impact updates that regular players have come to expect.

Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure,

For fans of matching puzzle games, Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure on Apple Arcade has added one hundred new levels. The tournaments have also been refreshed, providing plenty of new content to keep players engaged. Whether it will last until the next update remains to be seen, given how quickly players can progress through levels.

Jetpack Joyride 2,

In a thrilling update to the Apple Arcade sequel to Halfbrick's mega-hit auto-runner, Barry Steakfries escapes to the one place untouched by capitalism – SPACE! While we'd love to leave it at that, we must keep the article's formatting intact. A special shoutout to Tim Curry, whose performances continue to delight us. We hope he's enjoying this mention.

Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop,

Another matching puzzle game graces our list, but Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop is a classic in its own right. The latest update adds new character episodes for Sig, Carbuncle, and Rafisol in Adventure Mode, introduces Meena as a playable character, and includes seven new music tracks in the shop. Bug fixes round out this update nicely.

Hearthstone, Free

It's time for Hearthstone! The Battlegrounds Season 8, Trinkets & Travels, is on its way, bringing familiar new content. The Trinket Shop replaces Buddies, allowing you to buy Trinkets with Gold twice per game, which can significantly impact the match. Balancing might be a challenge, but that's part of the Hearthstone experience.

Toon Blast, Free

Toon Blast brings us fifty new levels in a new episode, featuring bees and happiness. Bees are fascinating creatures that play a crucial role in our ecosystem, and while they can be a bit scary, they're definitely worth celebrating. Enjoy the new levels and the delightful bee-themed content.

Royal Match, Free

The debate continues: should King Robert perish permanently or return in a cycle of endless defeat? This update adds one hundred new levels and a new jousting arena, which sounds promising.
