After a period of quiet, Supercell, the renowned game developer, has launched their latest title, Boat Game, accompanied by a captivating and surreal trailer, and it's now in closed alpha. So, what's the scoop on this new game? That's the million-dollar question.

From the snippets of footage we've seen, Boat Game appears to blend third-person shooting with nautical adventures, reminiscent of popular titles like Fortnite. Yet, the trailer's surreal visuals hint that there might be more beneath the surface than meets the eye.

While I'm not anticipating Boat Game to morph into a horror game, it would be exciting if those surreal elements turn out to be more than just marketing hype. Even if they don't, the game still promises an engaging experience with its battle royale-style third-person shooter gameplay, filled with vibrant action.

ytBoats! It's intriguing to see Supercell venture into the third-person shooter genre, and the combination of land and sea environments suggests players might be able to switch between them or enjoy separate modes. Notably, this is the first time Supercell has chosen to announce a game exclusively on Bluesky, moving away from their traditional Twitter announcements.

Speculation is inevitable with any new Supercell release, and while we hope Boat Game will have a longer lifespan than some of their past projects, only time will tell.
