Following the success of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Studios has hinted at a new game

Arrowhead Studios, riding high on the success of last year's critically acclaimed Helldivers 2, is currently developing a new, ambitious game concept. Creative director Johan Pilestedt recently took to social media, announcing work on a "high concept" project and inviting fan input.

The community responded with a flurry of suggestions, ranging from a Smash TV remake to Star Fox-inspired titles. Pilestedt confirmed that a Smash TV remake has been internally considered, and also acknowledged interest in a Star Fox-style "rail game."

While specifics remain under wraps, Arrowhead's active engagement with its fanbase is evident. Helldivers 2's phenomenal 2024 performance sets a high standard for their next endeavor.

A recent update has dramatically boosted Helldivers 2's player count on PS5. The "Omens of Tyranny" expansion, surprise-released at the 2024 Game Awards, appears to be a hit.

This update has clearly delighted Helldivers 2 players. The long-awaited Illuminate enemy faction, coupled with the addition of a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle and new urban warfare maps, provides significant new content. Furthermore, with a rumored Killzone crossover on the horizon, Helldivers 2's continued success in 2025 looks promising.
